You handle road freight between Sylva and Epps Springs, stopping at Dillsboro, East Whittier, and Bryson (stop at Ela and Wilmot as needed, when Eastbound). Caboose is required for all movements between different areas.
F3 Sylva Pulpwood
[ Sylva <-> East Whittier ] HOURS: 1-2 DIFF: Easy<br> CABOOSE: Yes<br><br>Grab the two pulpwood cuts from Sylva, shove to East Whittier, grab the loaded train, return, and spot (caboose closest to the little shed). Whittier Yardmaster (L3 crew) may ask you to work your pulpwood all the way up the Connelly branch instead of exchanging it in the yard.
F5 Robinson Gap Coal
[ Sylva <-> Robinson Gap ] HOURS: 2-3 DIFF: Advanced<br> CABOOSE: Yes<br><br>You're a unit coal train that makes one round trip per day from Sylva to Robinson Gap, with stops at East Sylva and Bryson. There are 4 "sets" for the Sylva area (7 cars each, labelled CA, CB, CC, CD) that operate as 4 "units", plus interchange traffic. Try to keep the sets together!<br>
L1 Sylva Local
[ Sylva ] HOURS: 1-2 DIFF: Medium<br>( You are also Sylva Yardmaster ) CABOOSE: None<br><br>You handle all freight traffic in the Sylva area, and assist with all yard duties therein. You hold authority to all track East of the home signal just West of Sylva station, and will need to coordinate with multiple crews as they require access. No caboose required.<br>
L2 Dillsboro Local
[ Dillsboro <-> Cowee Branch ] HOURS: 1-2 DIFF: Medium<br>( You are also Dillsboro Yardmaster ) CABOOSE: None<br><br>You handle all freight in the Dillsboro area, including traffic for the Cowee Branch. You hold authority over all yard tracks between Dillsboro and Cowee Branch. No caboose required.
L3 Whittier Local
[ East Whittier <-> Connelly Creek ] HOURS: 4-6+ DIFF: Advanced<br>( You are also Whittier Yardmaster ) CABOOSE: Mixed<br><br>This is a busy job. You handle all freight in the Whittier area, plus 2 captive jobs to Connelly Creek: Saw Mill, and Paper Mill. You also assist the F3 crew, handling pulpwood between East Whittier and Connelly Creek. You hold authority over all yard tracks between the home signals in the Whittier area, as well as the Connelly Creek branch. No caboose required (pulpwood cabeese stay with their consist).</b><b></b>
L4 Bryson Local
[ Walker <-> Bryson ] HOURS: 1-2+ DIFF: Medium<br>( You are also Bryson Yardmaster ) CABOOSE: Mixed<br><br>You switch all freight in the Bryson area; You are also responsible for the captive pulpwood job between Bryson Briquette and Walker Lower (as needed). You hold authority on all yard tracks between the home signals at Bryson. No caboose required (pulpwood cabeese stay with their consist).<br>
L6 Alarka Local
[ Alarka <-> Epps Springs ] HOURS: 1-2 DIFF: Medium<br>( You are also Alarka Yardmaster ) CABOOSE: Mixed<br><br>You handle all freight between Alarka and Epps Springs, as well as switching at Alarka. You hold authority over the dark territory from Alarka to Alarka Jct; The F5 and P1 crews will contact you for permission to operate there. Caboose required only when you are operating outside this jurisdiction. Watch out for the occasional move into Bryson yard.
P1 Passenger Service
[ Sylva <-> Alarka ] HOURS: 2-3 DIFF: Easy<br> CABOOSE: None<br><br>Run at least one round trip per day from Sylva to Alarka (more if you like), stopping at all stations. You will need to coordinate with the F6 crew to operate between Alarka Jct. and Alarka.<br>
